MY BLOG SPACE

FYI, yes I am an actor and I do have an agent, but don't confuse me with an acting guru. This is all new to me and I'm exploring a whole new side to life. These are just my thoughts so far. For all I know, it doesn't work out for me, but failure is not something that occupies my mind. This is applicable for those wanting to take their first steps or find me funny, the latter is unlikely. If you would rather hear me ramble on about something not directly about acting then check the "My thoughts on" section.

Hope you're doing great :)

A November to remember

It's been a roller coaster of a couple of months, unfortunately, all roller coaster rides have to plateau and that's the story of this section of my life. September set really unrealistic standards for me and that's not to say I've had nothing to do. I did some fun auditions, got a role in an exciting queer project and did some interesting selftapes.

The reality of acting

It's not all glits and glammer, if anything, it's mostly draining and brutal. The strongest asset an actor can have is patience and resolve. It's not a race but instead a marathon, you're playing the long game. A twisted and unpredictable game to be frank. Trying to predict or overanalyse your career will only drive you mad or towards burnout. You have to trust in your ability and hold on to what acting means to you.

I'm ready to hit the panic button

Tilly Norwood. An AI "actor" that hit the acting industry like a huge wrecking ball, then became suspiciously quiet. Nothing uncommon for AI, huge headlines set the standard of AI at the moment then disappear and improve in the background. The terrifying part is that it develops at an alarming rate. It's not crazy to say that by 2030, you won't be able to distinguish between AI and real life. Only time can tell what tell-tale signs will remain to help tell the difference. It's already easy to get tricked by a good AI pic, especially at first glance.

AMATEUR ACTOR ESSENTIALS

So you want to be a world famous actor? Well you're in the wrong place. I'm barely a paid actor right now. An actor is anyone who acts. It's as simple as that. I can't help you with your walk to stardom, but I can help you start your journey. What I have learned so far is that acting is pretty much a lottery. You're in it with a tonne of people, all fighting for an opportunity to win big. The reality is that you're going to lose an unfathomable amount of times before you catch a break and one win probably won't mean instant success. It's a long grind, full of disappointments and absolute spaces of nothing. It's your job to make sure you're always improving on yourself and learning.

MY YEAR SO FAR

Where do I begin? It's been a crazy 8 month or so, even crazier 3 month. I went from picking myself from a mental bottom to spearheading my dreams. I'm far from where I want to be but I'm much further than I ever expected to be in life. It's hard or even impossible for me to actually processing everything that has worked out for me. All through my hard work, I couldn't be happier and I'm not planning to waste the opportunities ahead.

HOW I GOT AN AGENT

It took me 2 or so months of the most repetitive and tedious tasks to get an agent. I was also lucky that I wasn't scammed but that's part of the game. First rule, never pay your agent. If they ask for a payment, it's a scam, it is as simple as that. It's like the universal rule, but I bet tonnes of people fall to these scams because you're just desperately looking for the golden ticket. Needless to say, getting an agent is not the golden ticket, but it does help alot.

MY THOUGHTS ON...

Is Fan Service bad?

Critics snapping their pens, casuals throwing their arms up in confusion, but the one's in the know are giving the screen a standing ovation. Is fan service a bad thing? Movies that are based on popular books or games are always stuck with an interesting dilemma. These already existing properties have their own fanbase and obviously the movie wouldn't go through if they didn't.
