THE THEATRE EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately it's gotten too far.

I'm left with only one option, purposely getting into the theatre 10 minutes late. You would think I'm being extreme, but ads in general, have gotten crazy in media for awhile now, but it's reached the cinema now. It was never like this before, but then I found myself waiting an eternity for the start of a movie. 30 minutes. 15 minutes of ads and army advertisements. Repeating army advertisements to add. And finally, the trailers. For another 15 minutes, that's part of the movie experience for me, but by then you're over it.

I hope I'm not alone in this, but if we're concerned of the longevity of cinemas in general, then this is not what we need. I'm not paying these prices to be shoved ads. I accepted it at first, kept my headphones on and kept myself busy, but not anymore. I pay for the trailer and movie experience, that's all. I don't mind ads, I even used to think they had a place in the cinema. That's when they were sprinkled in and not dumped on me. This is a pointless rant, but I think it's a valid one.

What's your thoughts?
