A November to remember

It's been a roller coaster of a couple of months, unfortunately, all roller coaster rides have to plateau and that's the story of this section of my life. September set really unrealistic standards for me and that's not to say I've had nothing to do. I did some fun auditions, got a role in an exciting queer project and did some interesting selftapes.

It's been truly a season of sowing seeds. I found even more resilience within myself and pushed through my own fears and doubts.

I think I fell inlove with this look... when the office is slow, the best thing an actor can do is treat themselves. I'm constantly learning no matter what, with weekly acting and Wing Chun lessons; but when my agent(love my agency) goes quiet for a bit, it's best to not to look for water in a desert. Meaning, not every month will be a busy month and that's when self care is important. Don't stress and overanalyse the quiet periods. It's the best time to learn more about yourself, explore new opportunities and try new things.

Sappho Could've Bathed Here is an amazing project/play led by Bella Finlayson and Nelly Weston.    I played the role of Em, a thoughtful and quiet individual who's new to the queer world and struggling with gender orientated inner conflict. The play is a Sapphic inspired story, "a slice-of-life yet surreal portrayal of a diverse, chaotic, young-adult sapphic friendship group who unwind, heal, overcome, reflect and recharge together inside the safety of their shared bathroom in their grotty flat". It's some silly fun but incredibly written. I was delighted to take part in a rehearsed reading for it at the Weston-super-Mare Frontroom and I wish the play all the best. Definitely deserves to be seen by a much bigger audience.

Side note– I finished watching House MD😭... probably bingewatched it a bit too much. Amazing show, a topic for another article. Back to acting, I learnt alot whilst working on Sappho Could've Bathed Here, met some amazing actors/creatives, as well as gained some amazing headshots and pics. I can't wait to see what's instore for me next.
